Dlho som bol v trápení, v strašnom hriechu väzení, vädol, hynul žitia môjho tmavý tieň.
Translation: For a long time I was in torment, in the terrible sin of imprisonment, my dark shadow was fading away, my life was dying.

Tú noc smutnú, boľavú, beznádejnú, chorľavú zmenil Ježiš Kristus na prekrásny deň.
That sad, painful, hopeless, sickly night was changed by Jesus Christ into a beautiful day.

Vďačnosti som plný, chvál, veď mi voľnosť daroval! Ako dieťa kráčam v poslušnosti s Ním.
I am full of gratitude and praise, for He gave me freedom! Like a child, I walk in obedience with Him.

V Písme o tom počujem, že ma Ježiš miluje, vierou Jeho moc ma navždy zachová.
Translation: I hear in Scripture that Jesus loves me, His power through faith will preserve me forever.

Novej piesne zvučí tón: Spasil, uzdravil ma On, čistá radosť aj mne v srdci plápolá.
A new song resounds: He saved me, He healed me, pure joy burns in my heart.
